How to put on your Front Lace Hair Wig “Electra”:
- First, start by prepping your hair. You can either tie it up into a bun or braid it down into a ponytail.
- For longer hair, braid your hair into a ponytail then clip it away using bobby pins to create a flat surface on your head.
- Put on a wig cap to make sure that your natural hair is tucked away.
- Then, test the wig’s size. Place the wig on your head to make sure it’s the right size and it fits your head. If you feel that the hair wig is smaller or a slightly bigger, adjust the band on the inside of the wig.
- Next, place the hair wig on your head. Start by sliding it from the front making your way to the back, covering your head.
- If you’re not wearing the wig cap, go ahead and clip the 2 clip in pieces in place and insert the comb that is at the bottom of the wig into your hair. This is to make sure that the wig is secured in place.
- Once you’re sure the wig is secured on your head, carefully cut the excess lace around the ears and forehead.
- Fold back the front part of the wig so that you can apply the wig glue.
- Apply your choice of glue on your forehead, mirroring your natural hairline. Make sure you leave a little space so as to not apply the wig directly on your own hairline.
- Using a blow-dryer, dry the glue until it becomes tacky to the touch.
- Unfold the lace and carefully pull it slightly towards your forehead to apply it directly on the tacky glue. Press down on the lace to make sure that the lace has adhered to the glue.
- Repeat the same steps on the back of your head if you need to.
- Once you are sure that your wig and the lace has been adhered to your head, use a head scarf and tie it around your head (on top of the lace that you glued down). This helps the hair wig to adhere more effectively and to stay flat and not lift.
- If you think you need to cut some more of the lace, go ahead and do that, do it as close to the hairline as possible.
- Finish by brushing your wig using a paddle brush.
